Position: Warehouse Inventory Clerk (Mechanics Shop)
Job Purpose: The Warehouse Inventory Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through accurate inventory handling, tracking, and organization. This role focuses on receiving, storing, counting, and maintaining inventory while ensuring warehouse safety, cleanliness, and accuracy of records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive inventory/unload trucks; stock inventory in warehouse; perform various tasks.
  • Accurately track inventory levels and perform routine inventory adjustments.
  • Conduct scheduled inventory counts (monthly and as needed) to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare materials for internal use or job-related needs, including basic packaging and labeling.
  • Fulfill Bills of Materials (BOMs) and internal work orders accurately and timely.
  • Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies or shortages.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including required PPE usage.
  • Support inventory system updates and assist with inventory tracking tools.
  • Work independently while collaborating with warehouse and operations staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree preferred (Bachelor's Degree a plus)
  • Prior experience in warehouse inventory or materials handling
  • Construction materials experience or warehouse inventory management.
Other requirements
  • Must possess basic Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft skills.
  • Ability to learn Costpoint and RFgen software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Be able to obtain Hazmat certifications.
  • Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Product Data Sheets (PDS).
  • Certifications:

    OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR.
Working Conditions
  • Must wear appropriate work attire including work boots and PPE.
  • Works inside a warehouse.
  • Works outside and exposed to the elements.
  • Exposed to hazardous materials.
  • Exposed to frequent loud noises.
  • Exposed to dangerous machinery.
  • Generally, works five 8-hour days, although overtime may occur.
