Driver Tractor Environmental Services

Overview

Responsibile for transporting all waste from the Trash and Linen chutes located in the PSB basement, to the compactor and bio-medical containers at the West Loading Dock.

• Minimum
  
  Education and Experience Requirements:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years material handling preferred.
• Previous work experience in driving equipment used in the Receiving area, e.g. forklift and train, highly desirable.
• Able to operate vehicles in congested areas, lift material in excess of fifty pounds and able to perform a variety of physical tasks associated with the movement of material and equipment.
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
  Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
• NOTE:
  
  A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
