Overview

A high school diploma (or equivalent) and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Job Description
  • Inspect assigned work areas and perform duties necessary to ensure the proper upkeep of the building, and report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged floors, ceilings, doors, stair treads, door closures, locks as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Ayers roofs to include, but not limited to, roof membrane, insulation and flashing inspections, destructive and non-destructive moisture tests, and repair and replacement of any defect within work scope.
  • Inspect all mechanical/electrical equipment in machine rooms for proper operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Make emergency repairs to pumps, motors, compressors, valves, plumbing pipes and fixtures.
  • Provide support services to all vendors and contractors as may be required for timely and efficient repair of buildings and equipment.
  • Inspect all electrical doors, elevators and report condition to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist in managing the sustainability efforts of the building/facility.
Normal Work Schedule

Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break. Some overtime may be required.

$21.00 to $23.95 Hourly based on experience.

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma (or equivalent) and zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferred

Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in the field or in a related field. Prefer experience in multiple trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
