As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Senior Healthcare Centers are outpatient departments of HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. Our mission is to provide exceptional primary care to seniors. Through our dynamic interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, case manager, pharmacist, lab technician, and support staff Senior Healthcare Centers address the wide range of medical and psychosocial issues affecting the aging population.  Our patient appointments include annual physical, follow up care for chronic disease monitoring, work-in acute issue management, hospitalization follow up, lab draw, nursing follow up care, etc.

Our Registered Nurse (RN) responsibilities include:

• Collect vital signs, pain scale, chief complaint, assessment questionnaire
• Medication reconciliation review
• Coordinate flow of patient clinic for provider
• Completes and/or coordinates treatment orders prescribed for the MD during the visit (i.e. vaccination, medication administration, venipuncture, EKG, bladder scan, ear lavage, consult with pharmacist or case manager)
• Documentation within electronic health record (eClinical
  
  Works)
• Review discharge instructions with patient and/or family
• Appropriately direct patient inquiries in person and on the phone
• Manage multiple priorities
• Collaboration with other Senior Healthcare Centers and hospital department team members

Clinic open hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. This position requires availability outside clinic open hours for opening and closing of clinic or to accommodate extended patient clinic schedule. This position is based at the Senior Healthcare Center posted in the position title, however ability to report to other Senior Healthcare Center locations may be required for training, meetings, etc.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Nurse Diploma
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS.
