Supervisor RN - ACU | Dept of CHFM

Overview

The Supervisor RN:

• Provides supervision and evaluates clinical staff (RN, LPN, MA, and CCA) and participates in the evaluation of clerical staff.
• Responsible for coordinating daily clinic activities and ensures adequate coverage and appropriate staffing.
• Provides clinical nursing assessment, support, counseling, and direct patient care in an ambulatory setting. Works in collaboration with other health care providers and ancillary services.
• Participates with management in the development and initiation of clinic specific policies, protocols, and critical pathways.
• Assists with budget development and monitors fiscal compliance. Supervises clinical staff and maintains mandatory regulatory institutional policy and procedures under the direction of Manager/Medical Director.

Minimum

Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as a Registered Nurse. Three years of ambulatory care or hospital RN experience. Must have work experience that demonstrates abilities of leading and directing the work of others. Prior supervisory experience or formal supervisory training preferred. Person should display initiative, have the ability to be multitasking and be able to take on responsibilities.

Proven ability to problem-solve and be a team member is essential.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life support certification or obtained at first opportunity with employment.
