What We’re Looking ForAs one of the largest employers of nurses in the United States, we value continuous learning and professional development. We are looking for a Nurse Educator Critical Care to enhance professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by delivering evidence‑based educational programs.
Responsibilities- Participate in the development, coordination, management, facilitation, conduct, and evaluation of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Provide orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
- Assist in designing and identifying educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences, including licensed and non‑licensed healthcare personnel, aligned with HCA and division clinical education processes.
- Develop activities to achieve specific outcomes related to identified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge, skill, and practice. Plan educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement.
- Promote and integrate evidence‑based practice (EBP) to continuously improve practice. Conduct, encourage, facilitate, and/or participate in research, EBP, and QI in patient care settings.
- Identify and develop strategies to facilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelong learning.
- Utilize the novice‑to‑expert continuum when developing staff, identifying and providing opportunities for skill enhancement and mastery.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Required)
- Master’s degree in nursing (Preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia, or leadership (Preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in an acute care hospital (Preferred)
- Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or holding an active compact state license in accordance with law and regulation (Required)
- Nationally recognized specialty certification (Preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Ability to travel up to 25%
