The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in the ICU setting, utilizing nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, collaborates with the care team, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s); document care in the patient medical record promptly.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up measures.
- Promote non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
- Implement evidence‑based practices and process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures.
- Coordinate, evaluate, and deliver holistic patient treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- RN Diploma.
