Inpatient Surgical Unit Nurse

Job Summary:

The Inpatient Surgical Unit RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to surgical patients. Thisrole involves critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Salary Range:

$30.69 per hour (2 years of experience)
$33.71 per hour (5 years of experience)
Up to $43.20 per hour (17+ years of experience)

Shift Differentials:

$4.25 for nights
$3.00 for weekends

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Requirements:

• 1 year of acute care RN experience (open to LTAC RN experience)
• Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 daysof hire if holding a compact license)
• Current BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
• Nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred

Shift:
Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Unit Beds: 45-bed surgical unit within the med-surg unit

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery
