SUMMARY
Works within a production team to move product into and out of a designated work area in preparation of a finished quality product for return to the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES- Comprehends written and verbal instructions and translates them into actionable tasks in support of the production process
- Knowledgeable of the production processes within the department. Ensures the written and verbal production schedule is followed. Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work
- Uses time effectively and promotes strong team atmosphere by assisting others when needed
- Promotes quality by maintaining discipline and compliance of procedures related to job specifications. Keeps work area clean and orderly
- Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures
- Handles hazardous waste within the department only as required and as established by state and federal regulations
- Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment
- Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements
- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions
- All other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Department Leader
Must receive annual safety training and annual training on handling hazardous waste relative to their department and position and in accordance to state and federal regulations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Minimum of one-year production experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITYMust demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to high depending on the assigned area. Areas with high noise level require earplugs. The employee will be informed of the requirement to wear earplugs upon assignment to a designated high noise area.
