Job Description:The Small Fruit Horticulture Lab at the University of Florida is recruiting team members for our blueberry harvest season. We are seeking to fill nine part‑time positions to assist with harvest and post‑harvest data collection between March 12th and May 30th.
Expected Salary:$14.50 to $15.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications:Be registered in a UF degree seeking program for at least half time.
Preferred:- Work one or more of these shifts
- Shift 1:
Tuesday 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM - Shift 2:
Wednesday 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM - Shift 3:
Thursday 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM - Shift 4:
Friday 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Shift 1:
- Work outdoors in warm and humid weather conditions
- Harvest, lift, and move up to 25 lb. of blueberries
- Follow simple laboratory protocols such as weighing fruit and recording numbers
