EssentialFunctions
- Read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Use measuring instruments and hand tools for assembly.
- Check blueprint revisions on the computer and look up WPS and QAPs.
- Access and interpret airline customer manuals and drawings via online customer portals.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on new methods and procedures.
- Work within FAA FAR 145 regulations and customer airlines maintenance programs.
- Obtain a FAA Repairman certificate if required under FAR regulations.
- Train other employees on assembly processes and procedures.
- Use diagnostic equipment and trade‑specific tools.
- Perform duties on any Safran Seats USA manufactured product with minimal training.
- Follow all safety regulations, keep the work area clean and orderly, and wear appropriate PPE.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 18 months of related experience required.
- Pass a competency test for Repair Technician classification within 30 days of award.
- Understand assembly build practices and repair procedures.
- Diagnose, replace, repair, and rebuild seats, equipment, components, and systems.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, 3D models, and procedure manuals.
- Perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals) and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Maintain all required certifications and licenses, including Repairman Certification for ARC.
- Have basic computer skills and read, write, and understand English.
- Demonstrate customer focus, integrity, trustworthiness, listening, adaptability, problem solving, business and industry knowledge, drive for results, and the ability to provide direct and neutral feedback.
