Overview
The position plans and utilizes business analytics strategies for supply chain inventory, material data, and logistics for the UH Health Shands campus and ambulatory customers. Works with relevant partners in Sourcing, Purchasing, Value Analysis, ERP, MMIS and the Integrated Service Center to understand the channel, analytics, master data, reporting, pricing, contracting and distribution needs, expectations, opportunities, challenges, etc. Oversees analytics projects to extract, manage, and analyze Supply Chain Services data to ensure that deadlines are met.
Participates in testing and documentation, of the ERP and inventory management replenishment systems to ensure accurate data records. Applies statistical analysis and data modeling to gain actionable business insights and boost customer experience and over fulfillment. Assesses overall department performance against benchmarked objectives and keeps detailed records, generates reports, and develops presentations to help Supply Logistics and Supply Chain Services teams understand the logistics perspective of improving performance outcomes.
Works closely Supply Chain management team to develop and lead process and performance improvement project and initiatives to meet goals and improve outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain Management or related field is required:
* or five years' experience in materials management, logistics, or supply chain services. Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain ERP systems and Microsoft Excel and Access, merging files, data cleansing, SQL, and Enterprise Reporting. Knowledge of analytics and of supply chain and acquisition management, ideally in a health care setting.
* Knowledge of Supply Chain modules including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, invoicing, and EDI is required. Knowledge of project management concepts. Understanding of principles of accounting and finance. Ability to read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
* Motor Vehicle Designation:
Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
NOTE:
A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
