We are seeking a Technical Infrastructure Coordinator to build and implement the core technical foundation for The Foundry, a software and AI development collaborative for the MS in CS program at UF's Jacksonville Campus. This role will establish development environments, version control systems, AI-assisted coding tools, and project management platforms that enable student teams to collaborate effectively on software projects.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Git Hub organization, repositories, and access controls for student project teams.
- Set up and document workflows for AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
- Implement project management platforms (Trello, Jira, or similar) and establish standard workflows.
- Create documentation and templates for development best practices, code reviews, and deployment processes.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with UF IT policies and security standards.
- Provide technical onboarding support for student teams and faculty advisors.
Salary: $20 per hour
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled UF undergraduate or graduate student or a recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong experience with Git/Git Hub including organization management, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and IDEs.
- Experience with project management tools and Agile methodologies.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Git Hub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Previous experience in technical leadership or mentorship roles.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
