Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic HR advisor for a designated healthcare market within the system.
There are four Senior HR Business Partner positions, with one role aligned to each of the following regions:
Northeast Florida, Central Florida, Greater Gainesville, and UF Health Corporation.
This role partners with market leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, ensuring compliance, workforce engagement, and operational excellence. The Sr. HR Business Partner works closely with HR COE’s in talent, HR operations, total rewards, and employee and labor relations to support clinical and non-clinical teams across multiple facilities.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnership
Collaborate with market executives and operational leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, culture, and change management initiatives.
Talent Management & Workforce PlanningSupport recruitment strategies for critical roles and succession planning for leadership positions.
Analyze workforce trends and recommend actions to optimize staffing and retention.
Employee Relations & ComplianceWorks with Employee and Labor Relations to provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
Performance & EngagementWorks with Talent Management to partner with leaders to implement performance management processes and leadership development programs.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work environment.
Collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs)Partner with HR COEs (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Employee & Labor Relations) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
Act as a liaison between market leadership and COEs to ensure alignment of programs and services with market needs.
Provide feedback to COEs on program effectiveness and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
HR Operations & MetricsMonitors and incorporates HR metrics (turnover, engagement, staffing levels) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a strategic HR business partner role within healthcare or a complex, multi-site organization.
Certifications: PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
