We are seeking a passionate, detail‑oriented Banquet Cook to join our culinary team at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. This role is integral to the success of our banquet and catering operations, supporting a wide variety of conferences, weddings, and special events in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Position SummaryThe Banquet Cook will support successful banquet and catering operations by preparing and executing high‑quality cuisine for a variety of events. Your attention to detail, knife skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure will directly contribute to our guests’ memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Chef and culinary leadership team in the production and execution of food for banquet and group events.
- Accurately interpret and execute recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, peeling, portioning, and cooking.
- Set up and break down workstations with required ingredients and equipment.
- Minimize food waste through proper organization, portion control, and cross‑utilization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of food and supplies.
- Be accountable for the quality, timing, and presentation of all prepared dishes.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume banquet or catering kitchen is essential.
- Strong ability to follow recipes and written instructions precisely.
- Excellent knife skills and knowledge of multiple cooking techniques.
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Positive, energetic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
