Minimum Requirements

Clinical Assistant Professor: Highest degree possible in field or equivalent professional experience;
Evidence of pertinent experience for the position and qualities for the academic unit.

Clinical Associate Professor: Highest degree possible in field or professional experience above what would be equivalent to the highest degree obtained;
Evidence of creative work, professional writing, successful teaching, and research;
Distinguished record of achievement beyond assistant professor.

Responsibilities
  • Didactic, clinical skills, and experiential teaching in the Pharm

    D program focusing on acute care pharmacy practice.
  • Maintaining a high-quality clinical pharmacy practice focused within inpatient internal medicine.
  • Conduct scholarly works.
  • Provide service to the College of Pharmacy, Hospital, and the pharmacy profession.
  • Contribute 50% effort to patient care as part of a shared responsibility between two faculty.
Department and College Overview

The Department of Pharmacy Education and Practice is the largest department in the college and home to the clinical faculty. The department's faculty are highly interactive and engaged leaders in pharmacy practice, education, and research/scholarship in these areas. The department has strong faculty in the Health System-Based Pharmacotherapy Division. Research strengths include critical care, infectious diseases, health disparities, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have a Pharm

D degree with one year of post‑graduate training (PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency) or equivalent experience, with focus in acute care pharmacy practice. Applicants must be eligible for Florida Pharmacist licensure. Excellent teaching and communication skills are essential. An FDLE Criminal Background Check is required.
