Join the dedicated team at SIMEDHealth's Interventional Pain Management clinic in Gainesville, FL, as a PRN Radiology Technologist specializing in X-Ray and C-Arm/Fluoroscopy procedures. In this role, you will directly support our physicians by performing radiographic examinations and providing vital assistance during interventional pain procedures using advanced C-Arm technology.
Your expertise and compassionate approach will contribute significantly to the comfort and care of our patients.
- Thoroughly review patient information (consents, allergies, anticoagulants) prior to procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation by loading patient data into the PACS system
- Prepare sterile environments, necessary medications, and ensure patients are ready for their procedures
- Position patients for optimal imaging during interventional pain procedures
- Demonstrate precise alignment of the C-Arm for clear and accurate imaging
- Actively participate in "time out" safety checks before each procedure
- Apply appropriate wound dressings post-procedure
- Monitor patient stability after procedures before mobilization
- Assist patients with transfers and ensure fall precautions are in place
- Transport patients to the recovery area and provide essential information to monitoring staff
- Maintain well-stocked and organized procedure rooms
- Adhere to proper protocols for autoclave use, biohazard disposal, and handling of clinical laundry
- Monitor radio frequency treatments as required
- Demonstrate adaptability and proficiency in procedures specific to different physicians" techniques
- Be a flexible team player, willing to assist in other clinic areas as needed to achieve team goals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid general radiographer license
- Current CPR certification
- ARRT certification is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical or hospital environment is preferred
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing general radiographer
- Familiarity with Intergy or other electronic health record systems is beneficial
