Overview
Manager ensures that clinical, financial and business training needs for University Florida Health Physicians are met. Proactively plans, coordinates and implements training programs to meet current and future operational, clinical and financial objectives based on UFHP goals. Serves as a key driver of the Connecting with Heart hospitality initiative, including implementation and development of sustainment activities. Manages customer and end-user training requirements to ensure accurate and up to date procedures for efficient/effective operations and billing functions.
Designs and implements curriculum to enhance UFHP's ability to implement and utilize all essential systems and processes to meet practice management objectives. Keeps abreast of new technologies and methods available to enhance training through a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional delivery systems. Actively and independently supports and participates in operations and technology projects that impact current training curriculum; specifically focusing on the full range of Epic training and UFHP New Employee Orientation needs.
Assists in the oversight of direct costs associated with training requirements. Supervises instructors and administrative support staff assigned to the Training Department.
- Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required, Master s degree preferred. - Five years of experience in training development and instruction.
- Three years' experience as a supervisor in training, billing and /or operations, preferably in healthcare.
- Working knowledge of Healthcare Management Applications preferably with Epic.
- Should have knowledge of current trends in healthcare operations.
- Must have working knowledge of CQI/TQM principles and techniques.
- Requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of employees (administrative to staff) within the organization.
- Should have a 'charismatic' approach to teaching, which solicits input from clients and students and validates the information being presented.
- Familiarity with practice management systems, training industry marketplace, system functional strengths and weaknesses, information and workflow in major medical center setting are all preferred.
- CPT/ICD-9 knowledge preferred.
