As a Credentialing Specialist you will:
- Maintain licensing, credentialing, and insurance records for staff and facility.
- Research and stay current on state and federal regulations and policies.
- Release information to agencies and respond to public inquiries as required by law.
- Develop and improve internal credentialing processes.
- Track license and credential expiration dates; notify staff of renewal deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
- Manage credentialing for Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers within strict deadlines.
- Maintain payer fee schedules and update coding/billing policies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma, general education degree or two years related healthcare and/or business administration.
