OPS Clinical Research Coordinator
Minimum RequirementsAssociate’s degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job DescriptionIn collaboration with the Spine Center’s Research Coordinator—and at times working independently—this position supports day-to-day clinical research activities within the Spine Program. The role contributes to the successful execution of clinical studies by assisting with participant identification, data collection, and coordination of research-related activities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Screen clinic schedules and medical records in Epic and other research platforms to identify potential clinical trial participants.
- Administer Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) via MyChart or paper formats, as appropriate.
- Support data collection, data coordination, and accurate data entry for ongoing clinical research studies.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of volunteers who shadow Spine Center physicians.
- Support informed consent discussions in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with coordination, collection, and processing of research samples, as applicable.
- Collaborate closely with research staff, clinical providers, and study teams to ensure smooth research operations.
- Perform additional duties consistent with those of a Clinical Research Assistant or early-career Clinical Research Coordinator, as assigned.
Associate’s degree or an allied health professional degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred QualificationsPrior research experience working with critically ill patients and their families.
