Community Liaison - Florida West; Tampa, St. Pete, and Gainesville

Overview

Community Liaison - HIV, Central Florida West (Tampa, St. Pete, and Gainesville) at Gilead Sciences. This role focuses on leading community-related initiatives, augmenting regional sales of Gilead's HIV franchise within targeted markets, and collaborating with Sales & Marketing. The CL delivers complex clinical information on HIV treatment and prevention to culturally diverse patient populations, allied healthcare providers, and decision-makers, and builds partnerships with key institutions and organizations serving the communities described.

• Lead on all community-related initiatives and be fully responsible for augmenting regional sales of Gilead s HIV franchise within targeted markets.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing.
• Deliver timely, complex clinical information on HIV treatment and prevention to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Establish strong working partnerships with institutions and organizations serving the communities (ASOs/CBOs, FQHCs, STI clinics, Addiction/Methadone Clinics, Faith-Based Organizations, cultural/ethnic organizations, specialty and community pharmacies).
• Interface with Allied Health Professionals (e.g., social workers, case managers, treatment educators, discharge planners, outreach workers).
• Facilitate linkages from institutions and professionals to underserved patients to improve access to care and treatment for HIV.
• Demonstrate business acumen and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for growth in untapped, underserved markets.
• Build relationships of trust to uncover customer and patient needs and distill complex clinical concepts to appropriate literacy levels for diverse audiences.
• Field-based position located in the assigned territory (Tampa, St. Pete, and Gainesville).
• Prioritize and organize effectively; deliver excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills; work well in cross-functional teams; maintain a high sense of urgency and strong work ethic.

• High School and Nine Years' Experience
• OR Associates Degree and Seven Years' Experience
• OR Bachelor s Degree and Five Years' Experience
• OR Master s Degree and Three Years' Experience
• Ability to engage in travel as reasonably required, including regular travel within the assigned area.
• Onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners within an assigned area, if applicable (may include vaccinations, drug and background screenings, and other requirements that certain healthcare practitioners may adopt).

• Valid driver s license is required.

• BA/BS degree in sciences, health or allied health field, or business-related disciplines
• At least 5 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical sales or related healthcare environment, including 3–4 years in the HIV marketplace
• Strong therapeutic knowledge of HIV disease state
• Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with community-based organizations and patient populations in HIV

Salary range: $ - $. Base compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
