Job DescriptionConduct compliance reviews in a variety of systems including UFIRST, UFOLIO, myassets, myIRB and others. Verify that submissions are complete and comply with agency and UF polices. Notify the submitter of required changes as appropriate. Review compliance submissions and confirm compliance requirements (such as training completion, UF role and other considerations) are met. Approve administrative changes to submissions such as personnel changes, title changes and other administrative approvals as appropriate for the office.
Review, analyze and approve changes to compliance documentation such as management plans, protocols, or other documents. Conduct and coordinate required risk mitigation reviews of compliance activities. Report compliance issues to the Compliance Manager, as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality/ privacy.
Responsible for independently maintaining compliance records including case files, logs and compliance calendars, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Prepare and write documents, including risk mitigation plans using approved templates and route for review and approval by manager. Route documents for signature by department and UFR leadership.
Maintain awareness and an understanding of applicable regulations related to one compliance program and participate in trainings and meetings. Maintain a familiarity with UF Research contracting, award negotiation and financial management, including an understanding of 2 CFR 200. Maintain an understanding of regulations governing export controls and research security. Assist faculty, staff and researchers in complying with UF policies, serving as a resource to campus for basic compliance questions and inquiries.
