directly responsible for the supervision and direction of the fire communications center for the waccasassa forestry center (wafc). These activities include direct support of fire suppression and other emergency response operations. The incumbent coordinates emergency response of fire fighters, supervisors, pilots and law enforcement personnel through the supervision of a fire communications center. The fire communications center responsibilities include providing the primary point of contact for all florida forest service fire control and forestry related services available to the public.

Successfully completes all training requirements for the duty officer supervisor position within the time period designated by immediate supervisor and in accordance with the established training performance standards.

regularly supervises the operations of the fire communications center to ensure the effective use of time and resources. Responsible and accountable for managing budget/dollars/resources (staff, vehicles, computers, cell phones, etc) of any assigned programs in an efficient and accountable manner. Responsible for ensuring that assigned program areas have operational procedures and processes which result in accountability and compliance with florida forest service and department policies and procedures.
