Salary: $15 /hr
OverviewThis position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS). Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Assist Gator Nights Managers and Assistant Managers on duty with tasks throughout the night, including set-up and breakdown, check-in and line management, load-in and load-out for events, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of facilities during events.
- Provide hospitality needs for guests and fulfill customer service requests for performers and speakers at Gator Nights events.
- Ensure events meet required staffing needs, follow large event safety procedures, and staff events as needed.
- Promote Gator Nights events through word-of-mouth marketing, social media, and event signage.
- Act as an ambassador and advocate for the Gator Nights late night programs.
- Conduct event management responsibilities that ensure overall participant safety.
- Complete all training requirements in a timely fashion.
- Commit to working up to 10 hours per week.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Open to current University of Florida students only.
- Open to all students eligible to work on campus (OPS). Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. Part-time employment up to 20 hours per week.
- Evening availability between 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
- Proficient verbal and written communication.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a large group setting as well as independently.
- CPR and First Aid certified, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Must submit a resume as part of application materials including all current student involvement, organizations, and/or current campus employment.
- Must submit a cover letter detailing specific interest in Gator Nights programming and what professional skills may be developed in this position.
