ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, POLYMER CHEMISTRY
The University of Florida, Department of Chemistry, invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of polymer chemistry. The appointment will commence on August 16, 2026 and is located on the main campus in Gainesville, FL.
We seek a candidate with a record of excellence in research who will establish an independent, externally funded program and who will excel in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Responsibilities- Conduct innovative, high‑impact research in polymer chemistry and secure external funding.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry, including laboratory instruction.
- Provide service to the department, university, and professional community.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
- Ability to develop an independent research agenda.
- Preferred: postdoctoral experience in polymer chemistry.
- Full‑time, tenure‑track appointment.
