Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver engaging environmental programs to K-12 students through on-site and outreach activities.
  • Utilize 4-H Environmental Education curricula to foster a love of the environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to make a lasting, positive impact on Florida youth.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Background screening and state/federal security check required.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Onboarding & Training
  • Orientation focused on UF Human Resources, 4‑H Standards, Youth Protection, and grant expectations.
  • Mid‑year training required, including overnight travel.
  • Monthly check‑ins and continuous professional development.
  • Training in Experiential Learning, Behavior Modification Techniques, Environmental Education, and Grant Standards.
Evaluations and Reporting
  • Bi‑weekly timesheet reporting, monthly data reports, and quarterly narrative reports of educational programs delivered.
  • Performance monitored through mid‑term and end‑of‑term evaluations.

Expected Salary: Biweekly living stipend range $760–$860.

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent;
Must pass a background screening before hire;
Valid driver’s license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in education, natural resources, youth development, science, or recreational leadership.
  • Experience with environmental education and youth instruction.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for large and small groups.
  • Passion for customer service and environmental education.
