Assistant/Associate Professor – Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research
Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida (UFL) invites applications for a tenure‑eligible faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
The Department seeks promising or accomplished scientists with expertise in clinical and translational research, including precision medicine, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug metabolism. Faculty will contribute to the College’s professional and graduate education programs, participate in instructional efforts, and work closely with the Center for Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine.
ClassificationMinimum Requirements
Assistant Professor:
Candidates shall hold the highest degree appropriate to their field or possess equivalent qualifications based on professional experience. They are expected to demonstrate successful experience pertinent to the position and possess qualities relevant to the goals of the academic unit.
Associate Professor:
Candidates shall hold the highest degree appropriate to their field or possess professional qualifications above those equivalent to the highest degree. They are expected to have produced creative work, professional writing, or research and successful teaching or professional experience, and must have a distinguished record of achievement beyond the assistant professor level.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Pharm.
D.) with formal postdoctoral research training. - Excellent teaching and communication skills.
- Strong potential for or demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding and a record of accomplishments in research.
- Previous teaching experience and experience in mentoring students.
- Extramurally funded research program and proven track record of publication.
- Soft skills, clear written and verbal communication, and understanding of patient care.
