Pediatric Neurologist – Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor
Job DescriptionThe University of Florida Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology, is seeking a highly qualified epileptologist to join our academic faculty. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, with experience in advanced epilepsy management including medical, dietary, surgical, and neurostimulation therapies.
Responsibilities include providing patient care, participating in multidisciplinary epilepsy care teams, contributing to the epilepsy monitoring unit, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in clinical or translational research. Opportunities for leadership in program development and quality improvement initiatives in epilepsy care are available.
Required Qualifications- M.D. or equivalent; licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics.
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics or the appropriate subspecialty.
- Board certified or eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy, with fellowship training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to academic excellence.
- Experience in advanced epilepsy management (medical, dietary, surgical, neurostimulation).
- Leadership experience in program development or quality improvement initiatives.
- Active research agenda in epilepsy or related fields.
