Job Description

The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a full-time fellowship-trained Abdominal Imaging Radiologist. This is a non-tenure accruing position at the rank of Assistant, Associate Professor. Candidates must be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology. The successful candidate will be fellowship trained in Abdominal Imaging and experienced in all aspects of Abdominal Imaging.

Our Abdominal Imaging program is growing, encompassing all facets of MRI, CT, and US. We have a collegial group of fellowship-trained radiologists who cover for each other; we emphasize a high morale environment and foster a sense of work-life balance. We serve the premier level-1 trauma center in Northeast Florida. There is a high volume of specialized abdominal oncology work with the UF Proton Institute.

MRI equipment is almost all Siemens. There are numerous academic and research opportunities available.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality service in a friendly academic setting.
  • Serve as a mentor to train a great group of residents. Our program now has 7 residents per year.
  • Research team is available to faculty interested in pursuing scholarly activity.
  • Work with colleagues in surgery, oncology, radiation oncology & pathology, via daily interactions/multidisciplinary meetings.
