The Department of Surgery and the Heart and Vascular Center at UF College of Medicine - Jacksonville (UF COM-J) is seeking to hire a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to join UF Health St. Johns in St. Augustine, Florida. This position will academically report to the Chair of the Department of Surgery and operationally to the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center at UF COM-J.
The department includes board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiovascular surgeons, vascular surgeons and cardiologists who care for patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions. The program is active clinically, academically and educationally, and aims to expand the elective surgical practice in the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia region.

Responsibilities- Accept a UF COM-J faculty appointment at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor based on background and experience.
- Full-time 1.0 FTE clinical faculty position with teaching duties and clinical research commensurate with an academic appointment.
- Provide care across the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery including TAVR, Robotic thoracic surgery, TEVAR, and minimally invasive valve procedures.
- Collaborate with UF College of Medicine (Jacksonville and Gainesville) surgeons.
- Participate in on-call schedule and be eligible for licensure in Florida.
- MD/DO required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiothoracic surgery.
- Preferred:
Coronary Revascularization, TAVR, Robotic Surgery, Minimally Invasive techniques, ECMO.
