The Department of Surgery and the Heart and Vascular Center at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville (UF COM-J) is seeking to hire a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to join UF Health St. Johns in St. Augustine, Florida. This position will academically report to the Chair of the Department of Surgery and operationally to the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center at the UF COM-J.
The Department of Surgery and the Heart and Vascular Center includes board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons and vascular surgeons who care for patients with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular conditions. The department is active clinically, academically and educationally, with a focus on innovative approaches to cardiovascular disease and growth of heart and vascular care in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

- Academic appointment at the non-tenure accruing level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with duties in teaching and clinical research commensurate with the appointment.
- Provide patient care in the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery, including TAVR, robotic thoracic surgery, TEVAR, and minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve surgery.
- Collaborate with UF College of Medicine (Jacksonville and Gainesville) surgeons and participate in on-call schedule.
- Engage in opportunities for collaboration within the Heart and Vascular Center and with UF Health physicians.
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
- MD/DO required.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in cardiothoracic surgery required.
- Coronary Revascularization / TAVR / Robotic Surgery / Minimally Invasive approaches / ECMO.
