UF Health Department of Medicine
, an NCI-Designated Cancer Center and nationally recognized academic institution, is seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Hematologists to join our growing Division of Hematology & Oncology. We are currently recruiting for two faculty roles
:
Clinical Benign Hematologist - Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Hematology Hospitalist - Inpatient only (flexible scheduling available)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, academic tertiary care environment serving patients with a wide range of hematologic conditions while teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.
Position Highlights- Practice Setting: Academic, primarily clinical faculty role
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (8 clinic half-days + 30 inpatient days per year)
- Patient Volume: ~14-16 patients per day in clinic; 10-15 inpatient consults per day
- Weekday / Weekend Call: 6 weekends per year and 6 weeks per year;
Fellows handle first call - Team: 29 faculty physicians (6 hematology only) and 13 APPs (4 heme only)
- EMR: Epic (inpatient and outpatient)
- Procedures: Bone marrow biopsy
- Hospital: UF Health Shands Hospital - 1,149 licensed beds, 1,500+ medical staff physicians
