Overview

North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health Care System's Specialty Care Service is searching for a Physician (Cardiology Non Invasive). This position is a dual appointment with the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida (UF) and is primarily based at the VA. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards, as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program.

• EDRP Eligible: This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

• Recruitment/Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): May be authorized for highly qualified applicants
• Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

The current VA physician staff consists of 3 interventionalists, 3 electrophysiologists, 6 noninvasive and 1 heart failure specialist. The Physician (Cardiology Non-Invasive) with an emphasis on heart failure will have training and experience managing advanced heart failure patients; and will have experience and training in novel advanced pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic heart failure treatment modalities.
