Candidates for this faculty rank shall be qualified for the rank of associate professor and, in addition, be a recognized national or international authority or an outstanding teacher in their field or specialization. A candidate for this rank must have a distinguished record of achievement beyond the associate professor level.
The Office of Research Affairs at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville invites applications for a full- time faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to further grow our research focus on precision population health. We are seeking established, extramurally-funded researchers who will enhance and expand our move toward a more targeted, precision approach to maintaining the health and wellness of the large population we serve.
Moreover, we seek to provide value-add to our existing federally funded programs in the specific areas of population genomics, biomarker discovery, preventative health screening, and implementation science. As our mission is to translate groundbreaking research to our patients and community, expanding access to cutting-edge precision technology and testing is a key area of focus for our college. This position offers opportunities for both tenured and non-tenured academic tracks, depending on the candidate's experience, background, and whether or not the candidate is a clinician.
