Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Overview
The Pre-Construction Manager provides leadership for estimating and planning support personnel, monitors project budgeting and buy-out processes to ensure reliable information for estimates, and facilitates communication of cost history for ongoing evaluation of pricing information for better cost modeling and estimating. The role reports to the Director of Pre-Construction Services.
Responsibilities- Sub-Contractor solicitation
- Create and distribute design phase deliverable reports
- Development of GMP proposals
- Establish and maintain relationships with architects, owners, engineers, designers, clients, and others for potential business development
- Education
- Required:
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in another field with 4 years of pre-construction experience. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
- Experience
- Required:
2 or more years of pre-construction experience. - Preferred: 4 or more years of construction management experience.
- Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation. Interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills required.
