High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities- First contact for students and visitors, redirecting visitors, advising on basic F-1 nonimmigrant processes, directing to resources, and answering routine questions in person, by email (including Salesforce emails), or phone within established guidelines.
- Review I-20 requests submitted by academic departments to provide students with preliminary I-20 application instructions; process standard letter requests (e.g., F-1 status verification, social security application, expense, CADIVI, military).
- Coordinate new student check-in: manage, review, develop, update, and train on all matters related to the online check-in process, website information, and lobby materials for students.
- Act as a back-up Designated School Official (DSO) for travel signature requests and I-20 reprints; back-up to the Associate Director for managing the Linkage Institute process and standard letter-writing (including invitation letters for family members for tourist visa purposes).
- Provide routine office support: take detailed meeting minutes; assist with calendars for advisors and directors; schedule meetings/appointments; assist with work arrangements for ISS staff.
- Serve as main notary for international students.
- Route incoming mail and courier deliveries; distribute documents to students and office visitors.
- Back-up management of SIDA drop requests after the drop/add deadline, ensuring the student remains properly enrolled.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $19.00 - $21.00/hour
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of appropriate experience.
- Bachelor's degree
- FERPA training (provided)
- Knowledge of and experience with F-1 immigration regulations
- Knowledge of UF rules, regulations, and processes
