STU AST - CLERICAL & ADMIN

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS). Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

• Provide instruction to students on registering new or existing organizations, permitting, and tabling
• Answer questions via phone, email or in person
• Provide access to organizations’ office spaces, storage, and mailboxes.
• Check banners and hang flyers
• Make photocopies and file forms
• Update and provide access to organization database
• Distribute mail for the department
• Organize and perform light cleaning of workspace, Student Engagement portal, and collaboration rooms
• Make appointments for students to meet with professional staff
• Perform special projects for staff members
• Create Event Liability Waivers
• Provide accurate information to customers of Student Engagement
• Answer and transfer phone calls to the appropriate departments & professional staff members
• Attend regularly scheduled training and scheduling meetings
• Other tasks as assigned

$15/hr

• Current University of Florida student in good standing with a GPA of 2.0.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

• General knowledge of Student Engagement and its offices and services
• Attention to professionalism, dependability, and timeliness
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
