Essential

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervision Assist with keeping all children in sight at all times and use Student Transition Sheets properly.
  • Health and Safety Be aware of your surroundings and report or correct unsafe conditions if you find them. Keep rooms clean and organized.
  • Positive Guidance Use only positive child guidance strategies to instruct children.
  • Licensing Practice compliance with state licensing and accreditation regulations
  • Teaching Implement the Treehouse curriculum with Lead Teacher in a way that meets each child’s unique learning style.
  • Care Meet physical and emotional needs of each child and provide an atmosphere that makes children and families feel valued.
Strive for Excellence
  • Commitment Come to work on time, enthusiastic, committed, and professionally prepared every day.
  • Cooperation Work with your team to achieve the center’s goals.
  • Accreditation Be aware of accreditation standards and do your part to gain or maintain accreditation for your center.
  • Customer Service Present a welcoming attitude towards prospective families who come for a tour. Engage them in conversation about their child’s education, and the features and benefits of our programs.
  • Professional Development Attend all training, center staff meetings, and other professional development initiatives as required.
Be Flexible and Proactive
  • Work Hours Work hours may vary to meet the needs of the children in our care and to maintain state requirements. You may be asked to work more or fewer hours than originally scheduled.
  • Initiative After proper training, you should be able to anticipate classroom needs and follow through without direct supervision or prompting.
  • Classroom Assignment is sometimes necessary for staff to move between classrooms and to work with different age groups so your classroom assignment may change according to center needs.
Other Duties

Take on other center duties as needed to care for children, support your co-workers, and contribute to the center’s success.

Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Early childhood education experience
  • Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Curriculum
  • CPL 2 or Higher /CDA
  • CPR and 1st Aid Certifications (or willing to obtain these)
