Job Description
Base pay: $24 - $38 per hour, depending on experience, plus $0.75 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift
3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

ResponsibilitiesRespond to service calls from all departments involving breakdowns to diagnose and repair equipment as required. Responsible for prioritizing repairs with input and direction from Plant Management. The Multi‑Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operation of machinery and production processes within our manufacturing facility, as well as overseeing general facility upkeep. The position has responsibilities within preventative and reactive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, installation and upgrades to equipment, and facility maintenance with a strong focus on safety and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair or replace faulty hydraulic or pneumatic components, mechanical components including but not limited to bearings, couplings, etc., combustion components
- Diagnose and fix electrical issues, including control systems, wiring, and circuit boards
- Ability to test and troubleshoot production equipment’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications and functional limitations
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (P.M.) on plant equipment
- Perform daily inspection of the operation of the molding presses including maintenance of the oil levels, oil leaks, billet heater operation, cutoff saw operation, transfer operation, stretcher operation, etc.
- Install and/or modify equipment in cooperation with the Team members to improve the reliability, simplify the operation, improve operational safety, etc.
- Complete all paperwork on a timely basis, including daily worksheets assigning work to appropriate jobs or equipment
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area including general housekeeping of the work area upon completion of a repair. Assist with general housekeeping of the Maintenance area
- Read and interpret blueprints/schematic
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in basis hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, cutting with a torch and welding
- Comply & promote all environmental, health & safety programs, laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary
- Two‑year degree in Mechatronics preferred or five (5) years relevant experience required
- PLC troubleshooting
- Electrical troubleshooting required
- Mechanical troubleshooting required
- Able to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills by detecting potential problems before they happen
- Excellent communication skills and working with teams
- Autonomy, extensive experience working with engineers and machinists and working with little supervision
- Extensive experience in shop math
- Must be extremely strong on safety rules and regulations
- Microsoft Software (Office, Excel)

- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
