Direct hire opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic in Gadsden, AL!

Trillium Staffing is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic. Duties will include performing repairs and maintenance work on heavy equipment, running diagnostic checks, and working closely with team members to meet company goals.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Inspecting vehicles and equipment to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, fuel, emission, and HVAC issues.

• Performing minor and major repairs on heavy equipment.

• Completing preventive maintenance, including inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, corrosion control, and winterization.

• Removing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing major components and systems such as powertrains, drive trains, braking systems, hydraulics, and electrical assemblies.

• Conducting test drives and system adjustments to verify proper vehicle performance.

• Other duties as assigned.

This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday, 11am - 9pm. Overtime and/or weekend work may be required. Pay ranges from $28-$37/hour based on experience. This position is full time and direct hire with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic

• ASE Diesel Certification preferred

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, powertrains, electrical, hydraulic, brake, steering, fuel, and emission systems

• Ability to perform advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics

• A valid driver's license and good MVR

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
