Cardiac Care LPN

Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Cardiac Unit at Riverview Regional Medical Center (Gadsden, AL), a member of Prime Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN in our Cardiac Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Bonus Option: Up to a $5K bonus (optional)

Shift’s Available: Nights

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm – 7:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care.
• Meet the communication needs of the patient and family.
• Perform under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provide CPR, patient care, update documentation, specimens, and vital signs.
• Read and monitor EKGs.

Education and Work Experience

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• IV certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 60 days and maintain current.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus

• One year experience in an applicable setting.
