Extrusion Operator

Location: Fuquay Varina, NC

$2.00 hr - $2.00 hr

Starting Pay: $20.00 and up based on experience.

• Weekend Dayshift Differential - $2.00/hr
• Weekend Night shift Differential - $2.50/hr

• Weekend Days – Fri–Sun 6:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Weekend Nights – Fri–Sun 6:00 pm – 6:00 am

• Safely set‑up, take‑apart, operate, and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Understand all shop‑floor documents necessary to operate equipment and manufacture the product.
• Maintain and complete required documentation in manufacturing.
• Perform all required quality control checks and inspections on assigned product lines.
• Assist in other areas of the cable manufacturing operations as needed.

• Read, write, and comprehend English documents provided to operator machines.
• Basic math skills (required).
• Operate a computer (required).
• Communicate effectively with various employees throughout the facility.
• Work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor.

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or machine operator position (preferred).

• 20 % clerical and planning, 80 % material handling, production assembly machine operations, walking, and assisting production employees.
• Manufacturing floor: noise levels moderate or high; hearing protection may be required.
• Eye and foot protection may be required.
• Lifting up to 30 pounds regularly; up to 45 pounds occasionally.
• Potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Physical demands include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, coordination.
• May stand or sit for prolonged periods.
