Field Safety Representative

Company Founded in 1992, InServ is a full-service industrial contractor working in the life science, advanced manufacturing, and food and beverage industries. We specialize in four trades (mechanical, hygienic piping, HVAC, and electrical, instrumentation and controls), working from multiple locations across North Carolina and for clients across the Southeast. The Field Safety Representative is responsible for implementing, administering, maintaining, and coordinating all InServ safety policies and programs including safety training and inspections for the assigned project and others as needed. Ensures compliance with all InServ and Site/Customer safety policies and procedure; as well as Federal and State Standards.

• Perform regular site safety audits and prepare formal audit reports using our preferred software, called Safety Reports
• Coach employees on-site to use safe work practices, in compliance with federal guidelines and company regulations.
• Monitor the performance of safety critical tasks. Work with the Contractor to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
• Represent the client's best interest related to site health and safety at all times.
• Report safety incidents and conduct investigations when deemed necessary.
• Conduct Safety Orientation for personnel as needed.
• Properly use all required personal protection equipment
• Comply with jobsite guidelines to insure a clean, safe and hazard free work environment.

• A minimum of 5 years of field safety experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites, preferably pharmaceutical/life science industries.
• Certified Safety Professional Certification (Preferred)
• OSHA 500, 510 or higher credential (NOT including OSHA 30) (Preferred)
• Fluent in both Spanish and English (Preferred)

High School Diploma/GED

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
