The annual salary listed for this position includes the additional $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend ($1,560 annually) for all full-time positions domiciled in a maximum-security institution.

• Responsible for the administration and facilitation of religious and spiritual programming in a correctional setting
• Coordinating religious programming
• Providing spiritual care and resources for inmates regardless of their faith tradition
• Recruiting and supervising religious volunteers for all fully accommodated faith groups
• Administering over the chapel office

Good administrative, planning and counseling skills are required.

Four or more years of experience in managing religious programming.

(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted on a year for year basis for a maximum of two years of the required experience at a rate of 30 earned credit hours for one year)

Prior chaplaincy/counseling experience, prison/jail ministry experience, inter‑faith work, and Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.) training are desirable.

Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:

• A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
• A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.

The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
