- High School Diploma/Equivalent or higher degree

- Valid State of California Class B (PS endorsement) Driver’s License;
- Valid California Highway Patrol School Bus Driver’s Cert.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate (Adult, Infant, Child)
- Valid Medical Certificate (DL-51A & DL-51)
- Current DMV Driving Record (from DMV only)
Prior to employment all candidates must successfully complete the District's clearance process, which includes: drug/alcohol testing, physical and back evaluation. FUNCTION:
Under supervision, drive a school bus and/or drive other District vehicles; operate assigned bus in a clean and safe condition; and perform related duties as required. This is a permanent position upon successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. Before the end of the six-month probationary period, all drivers must hold a California School Bus License with either no restrictions, or an automatic transmission restriction only.
Effective 7.1.2025: :
Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2026–2027:
Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end. 2027–2028:
Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
