Field Service Representative

Opus is seeking a Field Service Representative to support our emission inspection program in the Los Angeles and North County area. This role involves installing, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating motor vehicle inspection equipment.

Los Angeles and North County area. Company vehicle and gas card provided.

Mon‑Fri 8:30 a.m.‑5 p.m., some overtime.

$25 per hour plus benefits including dental, health, and vision insurance.

• Serve as an electronic technician in the Field Service Support function responsible for installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of all equipment, instruments, and analytical systems in the emission inspection program.
• Maintain a territory of about 100–200 customers, troubleshoot equipment, and analyze documents to determine causes of trouble and malfunctions.
• Perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, and calibration functions on major instruments and gas instruments to specified tolerances.
• Complete necessary paperwork and reports on assigned work, assist in the completion of records, reports, and other test documents.
• Maintain accurate inventory in possession and provide training to customers on proper operation and maintenance of motor vehicle inspection equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned company vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work outside normal operating hours, overtime, and in extreme hot and cold conditions.
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, stooping, bending, crawling, and crouching.
• Use mechanical and electronic tools and equipment.
• Lift moderate to heavy items.
• Operate a motor vehicle.
