Minimum of 2 years required; 1.5 years is a hard stop. Candidates with less experience will be redirected.

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Skills:

• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
• Experience in Hybrid OR
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Catheterizations
• Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures, including:
• ASD Closures
• Cardiac Implant Closure Device
• IABP Placement/Removal
• Impella Insertion
• Pacemaker/Defibrillator Lead Extraction/Removal
• Rotablator Atherectomy
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Valvuloplasty
• Ventricular Assist Device Insertion
• Cardiac Stent Placement
• Electrophysiology Procedures, including:
• Arrhythmia Induction
• Cardiac Ablation
• Insertion/Programming of AICDs
• Pacemaker Insertion
• IV Therapy, including:
• Assistance with Central Line Insertion/Management
• Starting and Maintaining IVs
• Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
• Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias

Call Requirements:

Requires call 2 nights per week and 1 weekend every 2 weeks, with a total of 7 days on call per pay period.

Additional Information:

This position includes weekend coverage, with potential for exceeding the every other weekend requirement to meet unit needs. Orientation hours required: 40.
