About the Position

The IT Services strives to be a strategic, innovative, best-in-class organization that provides a leading-edge technology environment for students, faculty, and staff. The Systems Administrator II provides overall project coordination and serves as the lead of the IT department in Student Wellness, serving three distinct units including Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and Titan Well.
The role involves system/data administration, user support and training, resource evaluation, needs analysis, problem resolution, systems/data access, and optimal performance throughout Student Wellness. The administrator supports ongoing privacy and security concerns, coordinates technology projects, and leads efforts to prepare proposals, cost estimates, and justifications for proposed system changes.
Responsibilities also include researching, installing, configuring,Cascade modifications for all applications related to্দStudent Wellness Center operations, developing training materials, collaborating with partners, and performing any other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
  • Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience. Substitutions are allowed on a year-for-year basis.
  • Under general supervision, deploys and maintains computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Applies systems administration knowledge to ensure availability, reliability, and security of systems, including new system development.
  • Provides technical support, implements system enhancements, and handles multiple priorities independently.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, server administration, scripting languages, virtualization technologies, cloud technologies, and related system administration concepts.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to present technical information concisely.
  • Skill in leading the work of others and proficiency in applicable software, server, and system technologies.
  • Knowledge of higher education policies, data needs, and data privacy regulations.
  • A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of programming experience.
  • Experience working on a college campus.
  • Experience supporting health services using software systems such as Point and Click, Orchard, and Propharm.
