Allied Universal Event Services is looking to hire Event Staff.
Under the supervision of the Dispatch Program Manager or a Command Center Liaison, solely dispatches a minimum of one Unified Command staffing role (festival dispatch, security logistic dispatch and/or medical dispatch) without regular coaching or intervention on a seasonal and/or project basis. In addition, the Seasonal Dispatcher role will effectively monitor, supervise, receive, transmit, and manage both routine and emergency radio traffic from a minimum of 2 event radios using appropriate radio etiquette and an even cadence.
Utilizing the basic functions of an Incident Management System (IMS), such as 24/7, the Dispatcher will create and update logs for all incidents and general notes in a timely manner while actively monitoring administering the appropriate screen views and rapidly identifying critical incidents and prioritize them within the IMS queue. Disseminate routine calls to the appropriate department and escalate critical incidents to a Command Center Liaison or its equivalent.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receive, broadcast, and manage radio traffic on a minimum of 2 event radios.
- Read, locate, and identify locations on different types of maps, including but not limited to: CAD maps, Dot maps, Cartoon maps, Grid maps.
- Dispatch a minimum of one staffing role - Festival/Event Dispatch, Logistic Dispatch and/or Medical Dispatch.
- Use basic functions of the facility’s Incident Management Systems (IMS).
- Document and differentiate routine and priority requests.
- Disseminate requests to the appropriate party based on facility policies.
- Manage the scheduling and payroll processing in WT to ensure effective deployment of dispatch personnel for various events.
- In collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator, assist with the booking of travel for all dispatch personnel and review command center advance requests.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all incidents, requests, and communications within the Incident Management System.
- Generate and analyze reports to assess dispatch performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and maintain an appropriate relationship with all command center and event staff, both internal and external to Allied Universal Security Services.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 2+ years in festival or large event administration, management, or site operations.
- 2+ years in maintenance or building management - or - Minimum of 5 years in a dispatch management role, preferably within event management or emergency services.
- 1+ years experience operating and communicating on a radio in a dispatch setting.
- Hold ICS 100 certification.
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
