The College
The College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) is home to more than 6000 talented undergraduate and graduate students. Each year we award approximately 1200 undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering and the computer sciences. ECS is one of only two ABET Accredited engineering programs in Orange County, California. US News & World Report ranks ECS as one of the "Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs" at schools where a doctorate is not offered.
ECS is dedicated to educating and preparing professionals to harness the power and potential of the engineering sciences for the benefit of society. ECS is also a home to the Center for Center for Cybersecurity, and Center for Navigation. The centers engage in research, teaching, and outreach activities.

The Department
The Department of Computer Science is the largest in ECS and offers a B.S. in Computer Science, B.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity Concentration; an M.S. in Computer Science, and an online M.S. in Software Engineering. The M.S. in Software Engineering is ranked 29th in the nation and 3rd in California among online engineering programs by the US News and World Report.

Compensation
The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $6,221 to $13,224 monthly (12 monthly payments per academic year). Anticipated salary range: $8,488 to $8,737 per month (equivalent to $101,856 to $104,844 per year).
Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work ().
Summer research grants, moving expenses, start‐up funds, and a reduced teaching load may be available.
